There is alot of IMFL which is sold cheaper then other states. There are indications that it is laced eith chemicals and is a substandard product. people think alcohol is cheep because of unpaid excise. The other resonshardly enyone knows. 60% - 70% of the IMFL sold is aduplicate liquid in the original bottae. Hardly a few know how to understand this especially the younger generation. there is not much time between actual delivery, consumption and getting rid of the empty bottle. Its almost like a secret operation.
Drinking chemically laced alcohol dose not need a Doctor to tell the consequences. It is many times more addictive and physically very harmful. The poor Gujarati has no clue what he is drinking. The cost of the potli(hooch) is Rs.10.00 in a city like Baroda in Gujarat. The hooch is laced with chemicals. There are test tube which are put into the water and indrustrial alcohol solution. Bolied to a certain temperature for a certain time. It's practically a slow poison. The addiction is many time more then alcohol.
What these poor people do not know that they might be getting addicted to a chemical and noy aalcohol.
Can it be said that the poor and the middle who class who drink, consume chemiclas ? Do people or the state know this ? Is this what prohibition is all about ? Risking lives ? Chemical addtion ? Health Hazards ?
If someone some where has the power to take samples of hooch and test them it wouls be a brilliant research. There are the lot of research happning on how to go the moon, which is very good but some research should be done on such matters also. Going to the moon is not a necessity, these issues are burning issues completely unchecked. The samples would be declared 'Unfit for human consumption'.
Today chemicals are used to make it cheaper. In the name of country liquor people are being made to drink to drink chemicals.
Is this away to protect the middle and lower income class? This is assure killer.
